NOx & CO
Over the past 10 years, the natural gas industry has incurred costs in excess of $1 billion dollars to comply with NOx (Nitric Oxide and Nitrogen Dioxide) emissions reduction regulations for large, stationary IC engines. Most of that cost was directed at retrofits employing some type of low-emissions combustion (LEC) technology, wherein a lean air/fuel ratio strategy was used.

NOx and CO (Carbon Dioxide) emissions are by-products and intermediate products, respectively, of combustion of fossil fuels like natural gas.  NOx formation is driven by what is known as the Zeldovich mechanism (EPA-435/R-93-007, pgs. 93-95).
Dresser-Rand Enginuity is the market leader in the natural gas arena, providing emissions reduction retrofits.  We are proud of our 100% success rate and performance guarantees to our customers with NOx solutions as low as 1 g/bhp hr (SRIC for NOx SIP Call).

Our experience base covers the industry’s vast array of makes and models, employing technologies that include HPFi, new or upgraded turbochargers, ignition technologies, and Enginuity Products model-based control strategies.
